Paint a Flower Pot

Items needed:
Unglazed terracotta plant pot
Various colors of acrylic paint
Paintbrushes
Potting soil
Plant/or seeds with manufacturer's directions for planting

1. Paint the rim of the flower pot any color.
2. Paint the lower part of the flower pot another color.
3. Let the paint dry.
4. Two coats may be necessary with some colors; paint on a second coat if needed.
5. Let the paint dry.
6. Paint flowers, rainbows, stars, polka dots or any other picture you want. Try patterns, scenery, or abstract art. Try a theme for a holiday-for example, for the Fourth of July you could paint stars and stripes. Be sure to let layers of paint dry.
7. Fill the pot with potting soil and place the plant/or plant the seeds according to the manufacturer's directions. Place in a sunny place and water as needed! You can reuse these pots every summer.
