Roaring Judy Fish Hatchery
Pitkin Fish Hatchery
Although the tours are informal, you may stop by either fish hatchery seven days a week for a look-

around. The Pitkin Fish Hatchery is located about ½ mile before the town of Pitkin on County Rd. 76 coming from Hwy. 50. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. seven days a week. Call 970-641-0265 for directions and more information. The Roaring Judy Fish Hatchery is located on Hwy. 135 north of Almont. The hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. seven days a week 970-641-0910 for further information.

Round Mountain Organics
During this tour, you'll see the farm's greenhouse, straw bale house, shed, yurt, off-the-grid solar and wind-powered electrical system, solar thermal heating system, eco-friendly gardens, and chickens. The cost is $10.00 per hour for adults and $5.00 per hour for children. Contact Nancy at 970-349-4742 to schedule a tour.

Archeological Site Tours of the Mountaineer and Tenderfoot Sites in Gunnison
These tours usually take place from June through August. Since transportation to the sites takes place in a fifteen-passenger van, children must be big enough to ride in the van without a car seat. Please call 970-943-2543 two days in advance to make reservations for this tour, which lasts about two hours.

Blue Mesa Reservoir
The largest body of water in the State of Colorado has a variety of different boat tours available, as well as pontoon boat and speedboat rentals. Chartered fishing tours are available through Gene Taylor's Sporting Goods 970-641-1845, and they know where the fish are! For Black Canyon Boat Tours call 970-641-0402. If you haven't been down the Gunnison River in the Black Canyon on a boat tour yet, this is your summer to do it! Boat rentals are available through the Elk Creek Marina at 970-641-0402.
