Recently, Mountain Kids Magazine underwent a name change due to a trademark issue. Next winter, we’re undergoing another change as we transition to an online-only winter
magazine (while continuing with summer print editions). The reason for this change is that advertising is insufficient in
winter months to sustain a print issue. To see what can be done, I am taking a sabbatical this fall to complete a rigorous feasibility study through the Small Business Development Center at Western State College to do market research,
analyze the business plan, investigate online and offline marketing strategies , and explore new market options. Meanwhile, we are expanding our presence online where we get thousands of additional readers! Our winter 2007-2008 issue had 10,614 visits as of April 2008. We’ll see you online next winter and back in print next summer!
