Park Maps

Beautiful day outside? Enjoy a trip to one of the many local parks. Both Gunnison and Crested Butte offer green space with different amenities. Use the park locator maps on the next page to find your favorite place to play.

Directions to Mt. Crested Butte Town Park
From Crested Butte, drive up Gothic Rd. towards the ski area. You will pass the base of the ski area and head into the residential area of Mt. Crested Butte. Less than 1/2 mile past the ski area, you will see a brown wooden sign on your left indicating the Town Park/Town Hall. It is difficult to see because the parking, the town hall, and the town park are all below street level. There are several stairs to walk down to get to the pavilion at the town park. Public restroom facilities are located in the lowest level of the town hall – a short walk from the pavilion.

Directions to Crested Butte South Park
From Crested Butte, drive south on Hwy 135 to approximately the 21 mile marker. Turn left on Cement Creek Rd. Turn left on Teocalli Rd. into the Crested Butte South Subdivision. Drive approximately two blocks and to your right you will see a large fire station. Parking is behind the fire station building. Public restrooms are located inside of the fire station building.

Dirt Jump Park

The park has piles of dirt for jumping on your BMX bike, or just for improving your bike handling skills. There is a line of 5’ tabletops, 8’ tabletops, and 12’ gap jumps and some small takeoffs and landings. It is located in the northwest corner of Crested Butte, 8th and Teocalli. If you are riding your bike on the recreation path, you will go past it. It is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. Helmets are required and pads are highly recommended.
