4-H
4-H learning experiences are designed to help youth work with others in
real life situations. Project activities include child development, food
and nutrition, clothing and fiber, natural resources, gardening, computers,
and veterinary science and programs for farm youth. Members must be between
the ages of 5 and 18. 4-H enrollment is open year 'round but members need
to designate a project by May 1 of each year. Contact Nadine Henry at
970-641-1620 for more information. Children can lease a goat or sheep
for the cost of $1 per animal plus 8 hours of labor per month with the
"Get your Goat Club." Labor includes grooming, health care,
feeding, chores, teaching a goat to lead, and more. Contact Ann Bertshy
at 970-641-5383 for more information.
